US Government to add 11,000 jobs in 2009. The government is hiring 11,000 border patrol, customs agents and support staff in 2009. These jobs pay $35,000 -$80,000 with health and full retirement benefits. Some of the support positions include mechanics and information technology specialists. While the private sector is shrinking these jobs make a lot of sense for those temporarily displaced and those looking for a career.  Career days were recently held from California to Florida. An exceptional turnout was reported in Tucson, Arizona.  Check our link in the January 24th post below for information on all of the 25,000+ federal jobs available.
